Dan Ligas Unsung Hero Award

Each year the Sun Coast Jaguar Club recognizes an individual - or individuals - who stepped forward during the year to support our club and our members.  This award is named for club founder Dan Ligas, a true unsung hero. Danny was a lover of Jaguars. He was the founder of the Sun Coast Jaguar Club in 1981 and from the moment the club began, Danny could always be found supporting other members; from holding many offices, organizing concours and meetings, to helping other members and friends repair and restore their own Jaguars. Doug Bohannan said it best when he described Danny as someone who “never turned away a friend or club member who needed help.” Danny was always there. The Dan Ligas Unsung Hero Award lets us recognize certain individuals for always lending a helping hand. Whether it be giving of their time, energy or even ideas, this unsung hero always goes above and beyond the call of duty.
